York City are bringing in another promising young player from Darlington, who will play in the Northern League this season following their relegation from the Conference.

Having already recruited top midfield prospect John McReady, 19, from the Quakers earlier this week, York are also adding seventeen-year striker Chris Dickinson to their ranks.

Born in Stockton, Dickinson arrived at Darlington four years ago and was top scorer for their youth side last season. He struck both goals in a 2-1 victory over York when the two clubs met in December.

Dickinson is understood to be joining the Minstermen as a second-year youth-teamer later this week.
