York City Ladies goalkeeper Steph Jones has joined Women’s Premier League Northern Division One newcomers Brighouse Town.

The former Bradford City and Guiseley shot-stopper became first-choice for the Minsterbelles following her arrival towards the end of last year.

She made twelve league appearances and maintained four clean-sheets while helping her new team finish third in the table – their best performance in eight seasons.

Jones also played a significant role in the club winning a record seventh County Cup – most notably saving a penalty during their dramatic shoot-out triumph against Middlesbrough in the final.
