With no game this weekend due to their trip to Nuneaton Town being postponed, fourth-placed York City may find themselves slipping a couple of places in the table on Saturday.

Both Kidderminster Harriers (52) and Blyth Spartans (52) could overtake them by achieving a minimum of draws at home to Salford City and away at North Ferriby United respectively, while also still each having a game in hand.

Spennymoor Town (51) have also edged closer following their 1-0 victory against Leamington last night – their second game in forty-eight hours. That moved them into seventh and just a couple of points behind the Minstermen (53), though having noticeably played four less games.

However, Moors’ weekend fixture at home to fellow promotion rivals Brackley Town has been cancelled due to the visitors’ FA Trophy semi-final commitments.

Tuesday evening then witnesses all of the top seven in action with leaders Salford hosting Blyth and second-placed Harrogate Town entertaining Spennymoor.

Meanwhile, Kidderminster are travelling to Alfreton and Brackley welcoming Boston United – which leaves York’s home meeting with the rapidly emerging Southport (47) as an absolutely key encounter.
