York City supporters have launched a Crowd Funding campaign in order to raise money to pay and install a new sign on the David Longhurst Stand.

The old sign is in desperate need of an update and with only a couple of years remaining at Bootham Crescent, it’s not something the club has a budget for, hence an appeal has been put out to supporters and local businesses.

Longhurst tragically collapsed and died on the pitch during a fourth division game against Lincoln City in September 1990.

Any help you can give, either as a group or as an individual, to donate or spread the word to people who may be able to help, would be massively appreciated.

Any funds over and above the £1,500 target will be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
