York City Futsal hold onto ninth place in the National Super League following their late recovery against Manchester, but results elsewhere saw the gap closed towards the bottom of the table.

Jamie Bettson struck twice in the final three minutes to dramatically cancel out earlier efforts from Jordan Edge and Jamie Vinas as the roses clash eventually finished 2-2 at the YorkSport Arena.

However, Tranmere Rovers secured a second consecutive victory when overcoming London City 3-2 to move out of the two relegation places.

They are replaced by Loughborough after being defeated 10-7 at Oxford City Lions, while London Genesis remain at the bottom despite a creditable 6-6 draw at Birmingham.

Meanwhile, the lead at the top of the table is reduced to just three points as leaders Reading Escolla crashed to a first defeat of the season: 10-2 at home to second-placed London Helvecia, with all the goals remarkably arriving in the second-half.

In the remaining game, Cambridge United extended their unbeaten run to nine while accounting for FC Salisbury United 8-5.

Weekend Results: Birmingham 6-6 London Genesis; Cambridge United 8-5 FC Salisbury United; Oxford City Lions 10-7 Loughborough; Reading Escolla 2-10 London Helvecia; Tranmere Rovers 3-2 London City; York City 2-2 Manchester
