Newcastle United’s young defender Kyle Cameron is keenly looking forward to returning to York City this weekend.

The nineteen-year-old centre-back made eighteen appearances and scored once for the Minstermen last season having arrived on loan alongside team-mate Lubo Satka at the turn of the year.

Now the youngster is set to be included in Peter Beardsley’s Under-21 side for their latest pre-season run-out at Bootham Crescent

“I’ll be going back to where I was last season, and it’ll be good to see the gaffer and the assistant, but a lot of the players have changed over the summer,” Cameron told United’s official website. “They’ve had a lot of new faces come in, so there’ll only be one or two faces that I recognise.

“But it’ll be great to see everyone and say hello, and hopefully we can get another win and keep pushing on,” he added. “I’m looking forward to going back there, but we want to go there and win, and that’s the main thing.”
