York City Futsal are preparing for another key fixture when travelling to FC Salisbury United on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 3.00pm).

Both sides have slipped down the table over recent weeks with the visitors now without a victory in seven games following their highly dramatic 2-2 draw with Manchester. That witnessed brothers Jamie and Robbie Bettson rescuing City a valuable point during the final three minutes.

However, York already defeated their weekend opponents in October, when new skipper Fabinho Almeida and Daniel Pedras both struck doubles in a 6-3 scoreline. Sergio Sedeno and goalkeeper Vladimir De Paula were similarly on target.

Salisbury were eventually beaten 8-5 at in-form Cambridge United last time out and that followed successive draws with Birmingham and Tranmere Rovers.

But the hosts have now failed to win any of their previous nine games since overcoming London Genesis 6-4 in the capital back in late October.

They had actually begun their campaign in particularly impressive fashion with three straight victories against Cambridge, Birmingham and Tranmere.

Elsewhere this weekend, National Super League leaders Reading Escolla travel to Loughborough, who have now slipped into the relegation places, while second-placed London Helvecia entertain Tranmere.

Otherwise, Birmingham visit London City, Cambridge are at London Genesis and Manchester take on Oxford City Lions.
