Kidderminster Harriers’ experienced midfielder John Finnigan is expected to miss the visit of York City tomorrow night despite nearing a return to duty.

Finnigan, who is also assistant player-manager at Aggborough Stadium, has been out of action since suffering a calf injury in a 2-2 draw with Ebbsfleet United at the start of March. That came after he had been named as Harriers player of the month for February.

However, he has recently returned to training and is more likely to be recalled for the weekend visit of Salisbury City.

Meanwhile, winger David McDermott is back at Kidderminster after completing a recent loan spell at Halesowen Town.

“I’ve seen Dave play before I came here and he is very much in the mould of a flair player,” manager Steve Burr told his club’s official website.

“Going out to Halesowen has done him the world of good – he knows he’ll still have to be patient here and wait for his chance but with games coming thick and fast I’m sure he’ll be involved.”
