Ex-York City players were certainly doing the business on Wednesday evening with them being responsible for all three of the goals scored in the National League North play-offs.
Former striker Adam Boyes opened Bradford Park Aveune’s account at Kidderminster Harriers having been set-up by another one-time Minsterman, Oli Johnson.
Boyes also headed against the crossbar and had another effort disallowed for offside, until crossing for Johnson to add a late second as the visitors, who were led by ex-York midfielder Nicky Wroe, eventually triumphed 2-0.
Meanwhile, Wembley-twice hero Jason Walker headed the only goal as Chorley were similarly victorious at Stockport County in front of a 6,230 attendance.
Chorley next visit Harrogate Town while Bradford travel to Brackley Town in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, in the National League, former City centre-back Dave Winfield headed a last-minute extra-time equaliser for Ebbsfleet United in their play-off at Aldershot Town.
Ebbsfleet then went on to win the penalty shoot-out 5-4 despite ex-York man Marvin McCoy missing, and next visit Tranmere Rovers.
