Former York City striker Jason Walker has joined National League North outfit Chorley.

The 32-year-old marksman scored eleven times in 34 appearances for National League rivals Barrow last season. He was in his second spell at Holker Street.

Walker previously totalled 87 senior games and netted 27 goals for the Minstermen having arrived in a £60,000 deal from Luton Town five years ago – most famously appearing in both of their Wembley final victories of May 2012.

He also includes stays with Southport, Forest Green Rovers, Ostersunds FK [Sweden], Morecambe and Morton during his career.
