Former York City striker Adam Boyes has signed for Conference North side Guiseley for the forthcoming season.

The 23-year-old already spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan from Gateshead and rattled in fifteen goals in 24 appearances for the Nethermoor club.

He becomes the third signing of the summer by ex-York loan defender Mark Bower and follows Danny Lowe and Ryan Toulson from FC Halifax Town.

Boyes also had spells with Scunthorpe United, Kidderminster Harriers, Boston United and Barrow since leaving Bootham Crescent five years ago.
