Former York City winger Kaine Felix is on the move again after just over three months with National League North rivals Leamington.

The 22-year-old made fifteen appearances following his release from Bootham Crescent by mutual consent in November.

“The travelling was just becoming too much for Kaine and was affecting him,” manager Paul Holleran admitted to Leamington’s official website. “He was having to make a near 180 mile round trip for home games, and while we are disappointed to be losing him, we both felt it was in our best interests for him to try and get fixed up with a club closer to home.”

Felix earlier scored once in twenty-four games for the Minstermen having been signed from Boston United in August 2016, although only eight of those were starts.

He included finishing last season on loan to Stockport County, but then returned and struck his solitary City goal in a 4-2 victory at Spennymoor Town in September.
