Ex-York City defender Femi Ilesanmi has won the players’ player of the year award at National League promotion-chasers Dover Athletic.
The Whites are currently seventh in the table and still in with an excellent chance of making the play-offs with just a single game remaining at relegation-threatened Woking next weekend.
London-born Ilesanmi, 27, has been a mainstay in their side this season while making 44 appearances and scoring a couple of goals.
He previously totalled 78 games for the Minstermen, until being released and joining Boreham Wood in August 2016, and also includes Dagenham & Redbridge, Queens Park Rangers and AFC Wimbledon amongst his former clubs.
This god I serve x2 😫🙏🏿❤️….absolute honour receiving players player of the season but I couldn’t have done it without the set of teammates that I have, everyone has been awesome this year so it ain’t my award, it’s ours @DoverAthletic !!❤️#WEF #DAFC pic.twitter.com/iT60HvvnBK
