York City’s home form will be crucial in their run-in according to manager Martin Foyle.

The Minstermen have nine games left this season, five of which are at home, and Foyle wants a return to the form that brought them 23 successive undefeated games at Bootham Crescent before consecutive losses to Eastbourne Borough and Salisbury City.

“We need to get our home form back on track,” Foyle told The Press.

“Our fans were outstanding at Altrincham and Mansfield and that helps,” he added.

“The players respond to the positive support and, at this time of the season when you get a lot of nervous football because the rewards are so big, the crowd can really play a major part.”
