On loan York City striker Liam Henderson opened his account for the season in Forest Green Rovers’ emphatic 5-1 victory at Braintree Town.

The former Watford man joined the visitors on a month’s loan earlier this week and netted just three minutes into his debut following his introduction as a 77th minute substitute.

Yan Klukowski also struck twice and Charlie Griffin and Matt Taylor were similarly on target, with Sean Marks replying for ten-man Braintree before they had Matt Paine dismissed.

The Minstermen visit Forest Green next weekend and are expected to be without top scorer Jason Walker after being sent-off at Barrow.
