There’s a big weekend ahead for York City Futsal as they take on bottom-of-the-table London Genesis at the University of East London on Sunday evening (kick-off 5.50pm).

Without a victory since comprehensively beating the same opponents back in November, York are now just three points above the relegation zone and four clear of their latest hosts.

Leading marksman Daniel Pedras scored a hat-trick, with former skipper Miguel De Vicente and goalkeeper Martin Michels similarly on target in a resounding 5-0 triumph last time they met.

But City have since lost five of their next eight games while also drawing home fixtures with Manchester, Loughborough and Birmingham.

Genesis were hammered 13-1 in their latest outing at FC Salisbury United, but have defeated both Oxford City Lions and Cambridge United since the turn of the year – their only two league victories this season.

Elsewhere this weekend, Super League leaders Reading Escolla travel to Oxford, while London Helvecia, now just a single-point behind, host Cambridge.

Key games towards the bottom of the division witness Tranmere Rovers at Manchester and Loughborough home to Birmingham, with London City also entertaining Salisbury in the remaining contest.
