Weekend goalscorer Daniel Rowe is set to feature for York City’s reserves in their opening game of the season against Port Vale at Bootham Crescent on Tuesday afternoon (kick-off 1.00pm).

The 22-year-old former Wycombe Wanderers centre-back netted on his debut after coming on as a substitute during the 3-2 home defeat to Tamworth.

Others likely to be involved in the Central League North fixture are goalkeeper Jon Worsnop, defender Jassem Sukar, midfielder Theo Wharton and striker Amari Morgan-Smith.

Those were expected to be joined by leading youngsters Josh Rogerson, Ryan Edmondson and Aaron Haswell.

Youth-team manager Steve Torpey will oversee proceedings, with first-team boss Martin Gray taking in the action from the stands.

Admission to the game is FREE and turnstiles open from 12.30pm.
