York City fans have been waiting for the arrival of a new community stadium for over a decade, but here’s their current home being constructed in, well, less than a minute!

It’s part of a project being carried out by Chris Smith of Altrincham, namely to build “all 92 English League and Scottish Premiership grounds” from Lego.

Chris has already been commissioned by clubs to produce the replicas of their stadiums, while also creating design plans with a view to the manufacturers allowing customers to build their own.

The much-loved Bootham Crescent was originally the home of York Cricket Club, until relocating to new headquarters in Wiggington Road.

That witnessed their football neighbours agreeing to take over the then twenty-one-year lease of the property, and the building of both the Main and Popular Stands ahead of its grand opening in August 1932.

The stadium has since captured the hearts of so many, produced countless wonderful memories and a whole host of absolute legends bringing such honour to a magnificent football club.
