York City’s reserves are returning to action later this afternoon with a visit to Bradford City.

The game is being staged at the Bantams’ Apperley Bridge training ground, with a 1.00pm kick-off.

The Minstermen were held 1-1 by Rotherham United in their most recent league fixture after an equaliser from on loan Blackpool striker Raul Correia.

That followed a welcome first victory of the season when recent signing Alex Kempster scored a hat-trick during a 5-2 triumph over Hartlepool United. Connor Smith was similarly on target alongside an own-goal.

Bradford were actually defeated 2-0 at the Millers in their most recent game.

However, they already have home victories against Doncaster Rovers, Hartlepool and Walsall, in addition to losses to both Port Vale and Grimsby Town.
