York City’s reserves are in action when hosting Hartlepool United at Bootham Crescent this afternoon (kick-off 1.00pm).

The Minstermen are still chasing their first points in Central League North having lost their previous six games, including most recently 3-1 at Mansfield Town last month.

That followed earlier reversals at Grimsby Town, Rotherham United and Walsall; those after opening with successive home defeats to Port Vale and Mansfield.

Hartlepool have fared better with currently six points to their name despite being beaten 3-0 at Bradford City last time out.

However, the visitors are sending a squad of predominantly youth-team players for their latest fixture.
