The futures of both striker Vadaine Oliver and right-back Lanre Oyebanjo should be resolved shortly.

Transfer-listed marksman Oliver is close to completing a move to an unnamed Football League club having netted ten goals for the Minstermen last season, while former defender Oyebanjo appears on the verge of making an emotional return to Bootham Crescent.

The 26-year-old London-born full-back was recently released by Crawley Town after a knee injury restricted him to just seven appearances during the latest campaign. He was though twice a Wembley winner in his first spell at York.

“It’s all been positive. He seems like a good lad and he knows the club well and the fans,” manager Jackie McNamara told The Press. “Hopefully, his knee is nothing to worry about. He will be playing catch up but he looks a good addition to the squad if we can get him.”
