York City surrendered their recent four-game unbeaten sequence in shocking fashion with a 2-1 defeat at second-bottom Boston United.

That was despite midfielder Adriano Moke rifling them in front inside twenty minutes with his first goal since returning to Bootham Crescent.

However, defensive frailties resurfaced as Connor Keane equalised after an early second-half corner wasn’t cleared.

And things grew even worse for the visitors when substitute Aidan Connolly was adjudged to have nudged James Clifton inside the area, and Ashley Hemmings wrong-footed Adam Bartlett from the penalty spot.
