York City are bidding to improve upon a recent sequence of just one victory in six games when hosting Boston United at Bootham Crescent this weekend.

The Minstermen have included training on the artificial playing surface at the York St John University, Haxby Road as part of their pre-match preparations.

That was due to their Wiggington Road training ground being waterlogged earlier this week.

Players were being put through their paces by manager Martin Gray and his assistant Dave Penney, ahead of a trio of crucial league games over the next eight days.

But they were back at their usual training location on Friday.
