York City Futsal allowed an early two-goal advanatge to disappear before eventually slipping to a 6-3 defeat at FC Salisbury United in the National Super League.

The Minstermen appeared in decent shape to claim a first win in eight games when leading goalscorer Daniel Pedras’ opener was added to by recently-appointed skipper Fabinho Almeida.

However, their opponents completely turned it around while subsequently moving 3-2 ahead early in the second-half; only for Pedras to then equalise with his ninth goal of the campaign.

But Salisbury were to impressively prove the stronger outfit courtesy of a trio of unanswered goals, including City’s Almeida diverting a cross into his own net, as they secured revenge for a 6-3 defeat at York earlier in the season.

Weekend Results: FC Salisbury United 6-3 York City; London City 3-7 Birmingham; London Genesis 6-4 Cambridge United; London Helvecia 7-4 Tranmere Rovers; Loughborough 2-2 Reading Escolla; Manchester 7-3 Oxford City Lions
