Recent signing Daniel Rowe believes that he is settling in particularly well at Bootham Crescent.

The 22-year-old has made four appearances since arriving on a deal running until the summer of 2019; that following earlier spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Rotherham United, plus accompanying loans with Barrow and Stalybridge Celtiuc.

“I’m getting up to speed with things,” Rowe told BBC Radio York. “My fitness is coming and I’m hoping I can be a part of winning games coming forward. I’m fitting in well with the lads and hopefully I can keep my place in the team.”

Although primarily a versatile defender, the Middlesbrough-born prospect has been handed a shielding midfield role since netting on his debut after coming off the bench against Tamworth.

“I’ve played there before and like protecting the back four,” he added. “And hopefully I can get on the ball more in the future and create.

“It was a good start for my debut but we didn’t win that game, unfortunately. But since then we’re unbeaten and just need to go forward now and try and win as many games as possible.”
