New midfielder Franklyn Clarke is absolutely “made up” to join York City following a successful trial.

The 23-year-old Liverpuldian has impressed sufficiently to earn himself a one-year deal at Bootham Crescent – and with the option of a further twelve months.

He arrives following earlier stays with Dorchester Town, Wimborne Town and Blackfield & Langley, while combing Sports Psychology and Coaching studies at Bournemouth University .

“Delighted. It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do so to finally sign a professional contract, I’m made up,” Clarke told York’s official YouTube channel. “I’ve been here the last two weeks and loved coming here every day. I’ve enjoyed it, just trying my best and thankfully it’s been good enough.”
