The Minstermen completed a league double over his side and claimed only their second-ever victory at Aggborough Stadium courtesy of Neil Barrett’s fourth goal of the campaign midway through the second-half.

“I look at York and they’re up there and I’m thinking that we’re not that far behind, but it’s that clinical finishing,” Burr told Kidderminster’s official website.

“We’ve had opportunities again in the second half, whether we may or may not have deserved something out of the game, but you’ve got to put them away.

‘The lad has stuck their chance away very well and maybe that is just the difference at the minute.”

And Burr was refusing to throw in the towel in terms of Harriers’ own play-off bid.

“I don’t want them to rest on the good start we’d made,” he added. “I want them to push on and not settle for accepting that York, Luton or Stevenage come here and we’re happy for a draw.

“That’s not my mindset – I want to beat these teams and hopefully we can get the players in to do that.”
