Manager Nigel Worthington thought his York City side were unfortunate not to take full points against Cheltenham Town.

“On a good day we would have probably come away with 3 points” – Nigel Worthington

Busy Robins goalkeeper Scott Brown crucially denied Wes Fletcher, Michael Coulson, John McCombe and Josh Carson as the determined visitors emerged with a scoreless draw for the second consecutive season.

“I thought the players put a real shift in,” Worthington told BBC Radio York. “They were very positive from the first whistle and playing against the wind in the first half, I thought we dealt with that very well.

“It was a case of making sure with the conditions we passed it a bit more in the second half to feet and not into space because once the wind got hold of the ball there was no way of catching it,” he added. “So we tried to do the right thing, we got the ball into the box and on a good day we would have probably come away with 3 points.”
