York City’s weekend home clash with league leaders Gillingham has fallen victim to the heavy overnight rain.

Following a morning inspection by referee Stephen Martin, the game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.

Elsewhere in the division, Wycombe Wanderers’ game against Bradford City and Torquay United’s clash with Exeter City were amongst early victims of the weather, alongside nine of the eleven Blue Square Premier games and Hartlepool United’s home meeting with Portsmouth in League One.
