York duo in team of year

Two York City players were included in the Blue Square Bet Premier team of the year for the 2011-12 season.

The pair were named at the Football Conference’s end-of-season awards dinner at Celtic Manor on Saturday evening.

Leading goalscorer Matty Blair and defender James Meredith were the Minstermen’s representatives in the final eleven, while recent transfer target and former loan striker Jon Shaw also appeared following his 35 goals for Gateshead.
