Busy York City have snapped up Swansea City defender Curtis Obeng on a month’s loan.
The 23-year-old right-back has recently been on loan to Fleetwood Town after originally joining the Swans from Wrexham in a £200,000 deal twelve months ago.
The Minstermen were desperately in need of cover following Lanre Oyebanjo being ruled for around six weeks with a fractured skull suffered in the weekend draw at Gillingham.
Obeng is yet to make his debut for Swansea but completed over a century of appearances for Wrexham.
Meanwhile, City also expect to add Northern Ireland Under-21 international left-back Dean Jarvis, 20, from League Of Ireland side Institute ahead of the deadline.
Manager Gary Mills has already raided for ex-Derry City striker David McDaid, who signed an eighteen-month deal at Bootham Crescent after an undisclosed compensation figure was reached.
McDaid has scored 28 goals in 105 games for his hometown club and York are currently awaiting his international clearance for their weekend home game with Morecambe.
