York City’s Under-18s are on a three-match winning sequence in the Youth Alliance League following a 2-1 victory at Burton Albion earlier this afternoon.

The visitors actually slipped into arrears inside ten minutes when Jack Bromfield took advantage of Reece Hutchinson’s approach work down the right.

However, York fought back strongly to collect the points courtesy of a couple of second-half goals.

The first of those arrived soon after the break through Nathan Dyer’s deflected effort, before Flynn McNaughton’s edge-of-the-area finish secured victory with just eight minutes remaining.

City have also recently accounted for both Doncaster Rovers (A 1-0) and Scunthorpe United (H 2-0) – and are next hosting Lincoln City.
