Title favourites Luton Town moved to the top of the table after Matthew Barnes-Homer struck a hat-trick, including two penalties, in a 3-1 victory at Kettering Town. Iyseden Christie netted for the hosts before later being sent-off.

AFC Wimbledon are second after very late goals from Danny Kedwell and Ricky Wellard eventually saw off ten-man Histon, who had Oluwafemi Ilesanmi dismissed in a 2-0 defeat at Kingsmeadow.

Newcomers Fleetwood Town go third as Magno Viera scored twice and Wayne Curtis was also on the mark in a 3-0 triumph over visitors Mansfield Town, for whom Keigan Parker missed a penalty.

Martin Brittain netted a brace, including a late penalty, as Gateshead sent Barrow to the bottom of the table with a 3-1 success at Holker Street. Midfielder Phil Turnbull was also on target after Mark Boyd had given the Bluebirds the lead.

Best winners of the night were Eastbourne Borough after they thrashed Hayes & Yeading United 5-0 at Priory Lane. Recent signing Richard Pacquette grabbed a couple and Gary Elphick, Matt Crabb and James Taylor were also on the mark.

Darlington came from behind to snatch a 2-2 draw at Altrincham, where a Stuart Coburn own-goal and last-minute Tommy Wright header cancelled out earlier efforts from Chris Denham and Dale Johnson.

Newport County and Tamworth shared a 1-1 draw at the Newport Stadium, where the hosts had to come from behind after Michael Wylde earned their opponents a lead that was eventually cancelled out by a Craig Reid penalty.

Forest Green Rovers completed an easy 3-0 victory over a disappointing Wrexham side as Reece Styche, Luke Jones and Yan Klukowski each found the target at the New Lawn.

Matty McNeil and Matty McGinn both scored twice as Southport recorded a tremendous 4-3 triumph at Kidderminster Harriers, whose Michael Briscoe, Nick Wright and Marc Williams goals eventually proved in vain.

Bath City came narrowly out on top 2-1 at home to Rushden & Diamonds with Adam Connolly and David Edwards overturning an early Max Porter strike.
