Histon have appointed 30-year-old former Millwall midfielder David Livermore as their new player-manager. Livermore made over three hundred senior appearances for the Lions in seven years at the New Den. He played fourteen games for Barnet last season and will lead his new club against Eastbourne Borough tonight, although he is unlikely to feature on the pitch.

Kettering Town have signed veteran former Sunderland, Huddersfield Town and Northampton Town striker Martin Smith on non-contract terms. The 35-year-old most recently played for Blyth Spartans two years ago and has also spent time with Sheffield United and Darlington.

Rushden and Diamonds have snapped up Peterborough United’s 18-year-old winger Nathan Koranteng on a one-month loan deal. The teenager made his debut for Posh last season and has also had a recent loan period at Boston United.
