Both 100% records were ended on Tuesday evening as Luton Town were held at home by newcomers Newport County and AFC Wimbledon lost at previously bottom of the table Rushden & Diamonds.

Leaders Luton missed a penalty and also had a man sent-off after Charlie Henry had earned the visitors a shock lead at Kenilworth Road. However, recent signing Zdenek Kroca quickly levelled before Matthew Barnes-Homer saw his spot-kick saved by Glyn Thompson. Keith Keane was then dismissed in the final minute of the 1-1 draw.

Rene Howe scored his first Rushden & Diamonds goal as the hosts inflicted a first defeat on AFC Wimbledon following their 1-0 victory at Nene Park.

Crawley Town overcame new boys Bath City 2-1 at the Broadfield Stadium after Matt Tubbs and a Craig McAllister penalty proved enough despite a reply from Danny Webb.

Ben Wright struck a hat-trick, including one from the penalty spot, for Hayes & Yeading United, but they still went down to 4-3 defeat in a seven-goal thriller against Forest Green Rovers at Church Road. Reece Styche, Lee Harrison (OG), Curtis McDonald and Jon Else in the final minute doing the damage for the visitors.

Wrexham allowed a two-goal lead to slip against Kidderminster Harriers at the Racecourse Ground before eventually having to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw. David Brown and Dean Keates both scored for the home side during the first six minutes, but a Nick Wright brace later rescued their opponents from defeat.

Lanre Oyebanjo netted a late equaliser for Histon in a 1-1 draw with Eastbourne Borough at the Glass World Stadium. Ross Treleavan was earlier on target for the visitors.

Tamworth and Cambridge United also finished 1-1 at the Lamb Ground, where Danny Wright headed the visitors in front before Daniel Bradley struck a late equaliser.

Newcomers Fleetwood Town came out on top at Gateshead with Magno Vieira and Jamie McGuire securing them a 2-0 victory.

Tony Gray scored late on to earn promoted Southport a 1-0 success over Altrincham at Haig Avenue. The result leaves the Robins bottom of the table.
