Luton Town moved into second place in the table with a comfortable 3-0 victory over the leaders AFC Wimbledon at Kenilworth Road on Friday evening.

George Pilkington rewarded them for their early dominance when heading in following an Andy Drury corner midway through the opening half before Zdenek Kroca nodded a second seven minutes before the break.

Steven Gregory then struck the crossbar from 20-yards in reply, only for Matthew Barnes-Homer to increase the Hatters’ advantage early in the second period with his seventh goal of the season.

Wimbledon’s lead at the top of the table was as a result cut to only two points, and either Crawley Town or Mansfield Town could replace them this weekend.
