Danny Parslow reckons it is far too early to write off his club’s title chances despite a really difficult week.

The Minstermen have endured a torrid time over the past few days, with a dreadful display at Fleetwood Town at the beginning of the week being followed by the departure of their top scorer Richard Brodie, and then three more of their players finding themselves up in court two days later.

However, Welsh non-league international skipper Parslow says that it is still early days yet and there is plenty of time to improve on a faltering start to the campaign.

“We are six games in. The lads do look at the league table and we are not where we want to be,” he told The Press.

“There`s still a long way to go and we want to go one better than last season. We need to tweak a few things and hopefully we will get it right sooner rather than later.”
