Former York City teenager Ryan Edmondson scored his first goals for Leeds United’s Under-18s at the weekend.
The 6′ 2″ sixteen-year-old struck twice for his new club in a 2-1 victory over Birmingham City on Saturday morning.
Edmondson, who is from Harrogate, moved to Elland Road in November, only weeks after making his senior Minstermen debut in their 2-1 triumph against Brackley Town.
Aged just 16 years and 140 days at the time, it leaves him as the third-youngest player in York’s 96-year history.
He’d spent a couple of years with City’s Academy until then signing scholarship forms with their Championship neighbours, despite rumoured interest from Middlesbrough and Derby County amongst others.
