York City boss Martin Foyle has declared that he has no preference either way over whether his side play the first or second leg of their play-off semi-final at home.

The Minstermen are currently fourth in the table, although a rise of just one more place would leave them with home advantage in the second leg.

“I have no preference at all which way round the legs are played because our away form has been very good,” he told The Press.

“I`ve also noticed over the years that a lot of clubs don`t do particularly well in the home legs during the play-offs.”

Meanwhile, Foyle also revealed that he is still to resolve his likely starting line-up for the knockout stages of the season.

“There`s absolutely no chance that I have decided on the play-off team yet,” he added. “I haven`t got any favourites at the club and my job is to pick the side that will be the best one for the next match.”
