Leon Constantine scored on his debut as York City shook-off the recent loss of leading striker Richard Brodie with a 2-0 victory against Rushden & Diamonds at Bootham Crescent.

The former Port Vale striker forced in from close-range following an Alex Lawless 78th minute free-kick after being introduced as a second-half substitute.

Two minutes earlier Peter Till had finally broken the deadlock when claiming his second goal for the club as his shot squeezed underneath goalkeeper Dale Roberts.

Meanwhile, former York striker Richard Brodie also appeared as a second-half substitute for new club Crawley Town in their 1-1 home draw against Fleetwood Town.
