York City have announced that club secretary Lisa Charlton is leaving the club at the end of the season.

Charlton has been at Bootham Crescent since being appointed office manager in December 2010, and then taking over as secretary the following May.

She told the club’s official website that she had originally joined to work for former chairman Jason McGill, and while wishing the new board of directors well, wanted a new challenge following him stepping aside.

However, despite serving notice of her departure, she has agreed to continue in the role until all remaining fixtures are completed.

Earlier today York confirmed that youth-team manager Steve Torpey is accepting a position working with the FA.
