York City striker Amari Morgan-Smith has signed an eighteen-month deal with National League North rivals AFC Telford United.

The 28-year-old scored eleven goals in 56 appearances for the Minstermen having initially arrived on loan from Cheltenham Town in January 2017.

He notably struck four times in his first half-dozen games for York, including on his debut at Harlow Town in the FA Trophy.

However, the former Oldham Athletic, Kidderminster Harriers, Macclesfield Town, Luton Town and Stockport County marksman has managed just five in 32 appearances this time around.

The last of those was during the 2-1 victory against Bradford Park Avenue last month, while lately being restricted to the substitutes’ bench.

Morgan-Smith, who arrives on a free transfer, should make his Bucks debut against Southport this weekend.
