Defender Hamza Bencherif hopes that York City are able to continue their improved form at Darlington this afternoon.
The Minstermen are chasing a third straight victory having twice accounted for bottom-of-the-table North Ferriby United over the Christmas period.
That leaves them currently in ninth place and three points away from the play-offs.
“We got two wins and a clean-sheet, which is something we’ve been looking forward to for a while,” Bencherif told BBC Radio York. “Hopefully it will be a stepping stone to better things and a good way to start the year.
“When you win the mood around the place is obviously nicer but we’ve been training hard for a long time,” he continued. “We give everything in training as usual, as in games. So obviously when you’re rewarded with a result, goals and a clean-sheet, then you have a good week. And we want more weeks like that.”
