York City Futsal welcome the first of three top-flight clubs from the capital as London Genesis arrive at the York Sport Arena for a 4.30pm kick-off on Sunday afternoon.

The Minstermen have made a solid enough start to their National Super League campaign with two victories from their opening four games currently leaving them in mid-table.

In their only home fixture played so far, City handed a first league defeat of the season to high-flying FC Salisbury United after Fabinho Almeida and Daniel Pedras both scored twice in a thrilling 6-3 triumph.

But they followed that with a rather disappointing 2-0 reversal at Oxford City Lions – a result which had their opponents leapfrogging them in the table.

Weekend visitors Genesis have also played four times this season but have already suffered three defeats and are currently bottom of the league.

Having started out with a comprehensive 11-1 thrashing at early pacesetters Reading Escolla – who are now six points clear having narrowly won 6-5 at Tranmere Rovers in last weekend’s solitary game – Genesis next secured a 2-2 draw at Tranmere.

However, they’ve since lost at home to both Birmingham (5-8) and FC Salisbury (4-6).

There are four other games scheduled for Sunday afternoon, with impressive leaders Reading hosting Oxford and second-placed Salisbury welcoming London City.

Meanwhile, London Helvecia, in third, travel to Cambridge United and Manchester make the visit to Tranmere.
