York City have signed Guiseley defender Connor Brown on loan until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old right-back goes straight into their squad for this afternoon’s clash with promotion rivals Spennymoor Town at Bootham Crescent.

Brown began his career with hometown club Sheffield United, until completing almost a century of appearances during four years at Oldham Athletic.

Since joining Guiseley in September 2016, he’s played another 54 games, including twenty-three times this season.

The defender also has earlier loan experience with Carlisle United, Hinckley United, and Eastwood Town amongst his 171 senior appearances.
