Former Barrow goalkeeper Tim Deasy is keen to impress during a three-month stay at Gateshead. The 24-year-old quit the Cumbrians at the end of last season and is set to replace knee injury victim Paul Farman in the Tynesiders opening game of the new season at home to Kettering Town this weekend. Meanwhile, Barrow have recruited ex-Swindon Town left-back Andrew Nicholas (26) on a two-year deal and former Leeds United defender Andrew Milne (19) on a short-term contract.

Hayes and Yeading United have signed Ben Wright, James Mulley and Ahmed Deen. Striker Wright (22) arrives on loan from Peterborough United, while defender Deen (25) successfully earned himself a new deal during pre-season. Midfielder Mulley (21) has also re-signed after failing in his efforts to find a Football League club.

Tamworth have signed former Lincoln City midfielder Stefan Oakes (31) and goalkeeper Ross Atkins (20) after releasing veteran Claus Jorgenson. Oakes has agreed a two-year deal while Atkins has come on a month’s loan from Derby County.

Eastbourne Borough manager Garry Wilson says they must convert draws into wins in the Blue Square Bet Premier this season after drawing thirteen games while narrowly avoiding relegation last term.

Altrincham have re-signed defender Michael Welch (28) after originally releasing him in the summer. Welch managed only three appearances last season following surgery on a leg injury and arrives on non-contract terms.

Wrexham supporters are being given the opportunity to buy their club for the bargain price of £2million. Current club owners, Wrexham Village Ltd, are hoping that sufficient funds can be raised by the Wrexham Supporters Trust to complete the sale.

Striker Liam Hatch (28) has revealed he had no hesitation in returning to Darlington on a six-month loan from Peterborough United. Hatch scored four times in 21 appearances while on loan at Luton Town last season.
