McWilliams joins Stalybridge

York City defender Andy McWilliams has joined Stalybridge Celtic on loan until the end of December.

However, York have included a clause within the agreement which allows the 20-year-old to appear in reserve games for them when not required by Stalybridge.

But McWilliams won’t be able to feature for the Blue Square North club in either the FA Cup or FA Trophy.

McWilliams slipped well out of the reckoning for the Minstermen last season and managed only three substitute appearances for them after playing 26 times during their previous campaign.
