Supporters group the Jorvik Reds are planning a spectacular pre-match display ahead of York City’s play-off clash with Luton Town at Bootham Crescent tonight.
Flags, card displays, streamers and confetti will be the order of the evening from the group, who are initiating the event and appealing to all fellow supporters to help ensure a mighty welcome for the York team.
“With a big display planned please could all fans be on hand to help out”, Jorvik Reds’ Tommy Outing told The Press.
“The main stand and popular stand display will be straightforward but, for the occupants of the David Longhurst Stand, if you see any flags, streamers or confetti about, please pass them round and wave or throw them as the players enter the pitch,” he added.
“The club has kindly given permission to allow streamers to be thrown.”
