Midfielder joins rivals

Released York City midfielder Matty Dixon has joined relegation rivals North Ferriby United.

The 22-year-old departed Bootham Crescent by mutual consent last week having appeared fourteen times during the current campaign, but not since the 1-1 home draw with Guiseley at the end of November.

He also totalled seven appearances in League Two last season following his debut in the 1-1 draw at Carlisle United in January 2016.

That was after signing an eighteen-month deal with the Minstermen from Hull City earlier that month.
