York City manager Gary Mills insists there will be absolutely no complacency going into their forthcoming FA Trophy quarter-final.

The Minstermen have already accounted for a trio of lower-ranked teams in Worcester City, Harlow Town and Nuneaton Town, and next face National League North outfit Brackley Town at home in the last eight of the competition.

One familiar face in the visitors’ line-up is ex-City defender Luke Graham, whose colleagues already knocked Gillingham out of the FA Cup this season. The 30-year-old notably featured for York in their Wembley play-off final defeat to Oxford United in May 2010.

“Brackley are having a good season and Worcester and Nuneaton have given us an idea of what to expect from the National League North,” Mills told The Press. “But going 3-0 up in 20 minutes on Saturday was probably a one-off and, if we have to get a 90th-minute winner to beat Brackley 1-0 but have done our jobs well, I will take that.

“You always hope for a home draw, so I’m delighted to have got that and it will be no different to any other game in terms of us needing to be mentally switched on and focussed on the job that needs doing,” he warned. “Nobody can get complacent and we’ve got a lot of work still to do in the league and in the Trophy. People might look at it as the best draw we could have had but, once you start thinking like that and talking about semi-finals, that’s dangerous.”
